Beautiful beach to spend time on relaxing and doing nothing! Magic sunsets and crystal clear water. Snorkelling was our favourite past time with a huge variety of fish and a great reef drop off to get to.

We were lucky enough to stay at Ha'atafu Beach Resort which, as the name suggests is right on this beach. Nothing like waking in the morning and in just a few steps you can be swimming in this safe, perfect lagoon. Also a great spot...More

We went here on a cruise Sunday afternoon to chill for a bit. It was a beautiful and sunny day. The water is warm, like the rest of Tonga, with a nice sandy beach. There is a reef much further out be the swells were...More

Went snorkelling here about 6 times. You need to pick your times around high tide and about 3 hours either side. That gives you 6 hours to play with. Lovely coral, you look for the brilliant stuff, lots of fish, sea stars, starfish, sea snakes,...More

Lovely beach and sunsets - great snorkelling. Surfing is good on the reef - heaps of tropical fish. Not happy about the locals leaving rubbish everywhere though. Whales can be seen regularly outside of the reef between July to November

We have stayed at other resorts and hotels in Tonga and this place wins hands down for the best hospitality, food, clean rooms, and if you are fortunate like we were, you'll be treated with free whale watching!!! In our most recent trip in Oct...More

There is a bus 6 days a week. Goes both ways. Get precise directions before you go. The bus will go straight along the main road and then you will need to walk a little. Times for buses are variable I suspect. Many of the... More
