professionalism and opened heart

The travel agency led by professionals and people with opened hearts. One of our friend had serious injury during the trip and we never felt insecure with our guides . They provided medical care, extra night in hotel, helped in preparing our onward journey. Also the planned trip was realized in details, as described. This is very rare to meet such amazing people dedicated to their job and customers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I wish Amazon Tour all the best ❤️

A fantastic 4day amazon tour customized to our needs with a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

We took a four day private trip for our family that included grandmother, parents and four kids 6-11. The trip was very well organized, communication with the office was easy, our guide Golbert spoke decent English and carefully tended to our needs. We saw many animals and beautiful trees and plants. The accommodations were all very clean and the food was tasty and we always had enough water. We certainly had a fantastic Amazon experience and I highly recommend this tour operator. I would do a tour with them at any time.

Highly recommended - 10 Amazing days in the amazon rainforest!!

Are you looking for the real Amazon experience? This is it. We travelled 3 weeks between the Amazon (Brasil, Colômbia and Peru) and Peru and we scheduled a 10 days tour with Amazon tours that was one of the best experiences we had so far. Most of people don't want to spend so much time in the amazon but I really recomend the "Amazon plan borders without limits" where you can enjoy the amazon beauty between 3 countries with a fabulous staff that will take into consideration your needs. Our guide was Gerardo, very experienced guide who speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese (for us was a plus) and has a lot of knowledge about the fauna, flora and cultures from this area. It was a very demanding trip since we were in the low season when the water is lower that usual so the boat cannot go deep into the jungle and take you to walk more miles but that was OK. Very diverse wildlife species around (Monkeys, insects, caimans, dolphins, slaughs, birds), you learn about the cultures, how to fish, how to use the botanic for several uses, really interesting. The best spots we went where Marasha reserve (mandatory)where you can kayak along the lake, see caimans and enjoy the beautiful views of the area, Tanimboca reserve (to sleep in the trees, for canopy tours and for one of the best night walks we had) and Santa Sofia (best experience to feel the amazon very deep in the jungle). I will not say more, I don't want to spoiler!!! Fabio was the comercial who organize the tour for us. He was very very helpful and provide all information we need before and during all tour. Please notice that if you are trying to reach the agency it can take some days to have feedback since the internet connection in Leticia is very poor. Using whatsapp is the best option. Elvis is the owner and also a guide, very nice person that we loved to meet. We couldn't expect better than we had and I will for sure comeback to see more wildlife in high water season (recommended). If you are looking for a good agency with fair prices that is REALLY trustful this is the one!

This outfit is top notch in every way. Logistics were flawless. The trips were well chosen. And our bilingual tour guide Golbert was expert in flora, fauna and indigenous culture.

3Days/2Nights Amazon Tour

In September we did the Amazon tour for 3 days/2 nights. We have experienced this tour as great. Our tour guide Golbert and local guide Daniel were incredibly helpful and taught us as much as possible about the Amazon and its treasures and its secrets. The first day we also ran into a hunter from Daniel’s community at our home base. An experience to never forget! We had 3 fantastic days and got to know Daniel and Golbert and the lovely Amazon. Amazon extreme plan !

We picked this company because of the “Amazon extreme plan” (4D/3N) where we had the opportunity to be more immersed in the jungle. The experience of the night walks, the animals, the rivers, the beauty of the dense jungle was amazing. I must say that our experience was better than expected because of our tour guide, his name is Golbert, a person with great knowledge of the animals, vegetation and good stories of jungle. Golbert along with Daniel (our Ticuna guide ) were great, very caring, I always felt safe with them. I recommend this company but especially, I recommend booking with Golbert.

Amazon Tour was the perfect choice for our 4D/3N jungle tour (we chose the excursion called Amazon Plan Extreme).

More specifically though, our guide, Golbert, was an absolute gem! He was passionate, extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about providing us with a memorable experience. He went out of his way to ensure that we were well taken care of and told plenty of interesting stories along the way.

If you’re looking for an authentic experience in the Amazon, look no further than Amazon Tour, but be sure to request Golbert by name. He’s multilingual and has a wealth of knowledge about the jungle!

We couldn't ask for better.
The tour (3N/4D) was meticulously organised in every detail: from the competence of the staff (Hitier, our guide, is nothing short of fantastic) to the special features of the accommodation and the quality of the food, which was always very good.
An experience that enriched and entertained us greatly. Thank you Hitier, from the 4 ragazzis

Really well-organised, not as much nature as hoped

We had the most amazing time with Gerardo for our 3 days in the Amazon. However, there were aspects we were disappointed with.

We are real nature lovers, and bird watchers. When you go to the Amazon rainforest (we have previously been in Bolivia and Ecuador twice) you expect to be “in nature” and away from the noise and busy-ness of people. But we felt like we were always on the doorstep of human habitation, and consequently didn’t see many birds.

It’s seems that there is a big focus on “activities” (eg going to a museum, to a lookout with loud music, a chocolate shop in Brazil, a shaman located along a busy walking route of local residents, staying in Puerto Narino with people, loud music etc) but actually the main “activity” is being in the jungle.

During our 3 days, many hours were spent in villages/towns, and although interesting, it could have been a smaller part of the whole trip.

The only time we felt like we were “in nature” was the Marasha reserve, which was great. We would have much rather stayed there another night and done walks or trips into the jungle from there.

I am sure that many foreign tourists would feel the same way, after all the Amazon is famous globally as a rainforest, not a town. So hopefully they take this on board for others in future.

Finally, I also feel that since we had a private tour, we should have been able to tailor it a bit more to suit our preferences for nature.

On the positives:
I will say that Gerado was fantastic. So knowledgable, great with our kids and us, and because his English is so good, he can impart that knowledge. We did mention to him that we expected to get more nature, and he said that other tourists have said the same thing. So perhaps time to listen to that feedback.

We found the monkey sanctuary fascinating and searching for river dolphins was also a highlight. The trip was also very well organised.

The treehouse was great, but we only arrived after dark and left early so didn’t get to enjoy it or appreciate it in the light.

An unforgettable experience as a female solo traveler

In January 2022 I spent a month in Colombia as a solo female traveler. I had always wanted to visit the Amazon, so after much research I decided to book a tour via Amazon Tour Operadores. It was the highlight of my whole trip, and my guide Elvis was the absolute best! He has great knowledge of the rainforest, both in terms of nature, animals and the culture. We visited many local communities along the way, and only saw other tourists occasionally for the entire week. I felt 100% safe with him at all times, which I value as a female solo traveler going remote places. At the end, he also facilitated a visit with a shaman in a local village, where I stayed the night and had one of the wildest experiences of my life. Elvis is sweet, funny, trustworthy and very knowledgeable and I can recommend him to anyone. He makes his itinerary with respect to local communities and supports local entrepreneurs. When we walked through the villages, everyone knew his name and waved him hello. If you want to have an authentic Amazon experience, Elvis and his agency is without a doubt your best choice. And if you’re having second thoughts about going alone as a woman - don’t! I couldn’t have felt safer or happier :) Thanks for the unforgettable adventure Elvis! And I hope to see you again sometime in the future :)
