Almost impossible to miss great pictures with flamingos at few meters. They are used to the presence of the man and the lagoon is full of them.

The view of this clear lake with reflections of snow-capped mountains and hundreds and hundreds of wild flamingoes will stay with me forever. Unbelievable.

Laguna Hedionda is definitely the best of the lakes to see flamingos close up. Because of the hotel being near the flamingos don’t edge away as you approach in the way that flamingos on some of the other lakes do.

The lake’s name means “Stinking Lake” and that is actually what it does. Typical sulphate smell, but not too bad. Good to take pictures. Advice to take a zoom lens for landscape and close-ups of the flamingo’s.

Beatiful lake full of flamingos. You can walk around here for a while and take loads of pictures but it can be windy sometimes

out of the way? Yes. Worth it? Yes Hedionda means smelly and it is! But the pictures and videos will last me forever!

While in Bolivia my wife and I visited this quiet place. It is a nice place where you can be in touch with nature.

the name comes from the smell of sulfur but is the opposite of the incredible beauty of the place. one of the most beautiful altiplanic lagoons we visited. without doubt one of the important points in bird watching
