This was another picturesque stop on our tour around the salt flats. We loved seeing the llamas grazing, various birds and the different colours in the rock formations around the mountains and volcano. We did a bit of walking around but it was mostly a...More

You can watch flamingoes and other wildlife from this place. Take a little picnic but be mindful to carry back the rubbish as some of the areas is becoming full of plastic litter. There is a small museum worth visiting and you can walk around...More

The views from the area (no need to go to the top of the volcano!) are mindblowing!! The scenery is beautiful there are a few mummies in a cave relatively easy to visit (entrance is a bit narrow). Tunupa Volcano area worth a visit!

I did the two day Salar tour and was fortunate enough to stay at the town of Coqueza at the bottom of this spectacular Volcano. The volcano is inactive, but I have to say it's the most beautiful volcano I've ever seen. At the bottom,...More

One of the places you go to while on the Salt Lake tour... This is where we had our lunch & it sure is a good place for that... Good shade, nice air, quiet... The volcano itself is not exactly jaw dropping...
