Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have been on several safaris over the years but my husband has never managed to take good photos of leopard. Until we visited the Khwai river and camped at the Hippo Pool with Walk Botswana. Here he finally found his dream photo shoot, a pair of mating leopards who were oblivious to the cameras and posed beautifully! And there were also many lions, some of whom visited our camp, and an array of other animals and birds. Great place, though our guide thought it was quieter than usual for wildlife!

Great game drives and not heavily populated with tourist. Mush of the time we felt we were the only ones. At most there were only 4 vehicles on a major sighting such as feeding lions. Wildlife sighting was challenging given the season but encounters were high quality, up close and personal. And got to sight and spend time with our first LEOPARD after multiple safaris!

We were blessed to stay in three awesome spots in the Khwai. We were at Machaba as well as Sable Alley and Khwai Bush camp. The staff and service at all three was brilliant but the game was the star of the show. We live on the Chobe river where game viewing is had to beat but WOW.... every day we had 4 out of the big 5 up close and personal. I highly recommend this area

Excellent place to view wildlife, especially leopards. Go on a gamedrive with one of the safari providers for better chances (they got walkie talkies to talk to each other in different vehicles). There is no fee you have to pay for self driving through this area.

On our first safari game drive , dedicated to wildlife photography, we immediately step into a leopard . Unbelievable close to our car, just a couple of meters. Than in just 3 days we have seen dozens of different birds, elephants , lions , zebra , hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, impalas, and many others. Fantastic experience, beautiful photos .

Saw this leopard - she is beautiful. Also saw the three legged leopard - she was in fine condition. Would go back here tomorrow.

Wonder safari location since they limit the number of vehicles viewing any one area in the concession to 3. It makes it a much more enjoyable experience, especially when viewing a cat!

We saw Leopards, Lions, Zebras, Hippos, Elephants, Giraffes and more. It was awesome. We stayed at Sango Safari camp. The food and staff were great! Our guide, July, was the best! I would go back there in a heartbeat!

Had 2 of the best days of our 30 day trip to Botswana and Namibia at this Concession. Went on a 5 hour afternoon/sunset safari and managed to see many many animals including a Leopard. A great time with a very good guide. Next morning went on another 5 hour Safari with the same guide (KB from Sango Safari Camp) and wasn't disappointed and managed to see a pack of Wild Dogs and a Honey Badger. All in all a great area to see many animals.

Diverse wildlife population and habitat. So much to see every day and never disappointed. Jeep, canoe, boat and walk safari available, just ask at camp or your guide.
