One of the best times of our lives
Feb. 2021
Angel Falls is the highlight of Venezuela, once in a lifetime trip! And what a trip we had...
We heard many horror stories about Venezuela and to be completely honest I fell in love with the country. We went there in Feb 2021.
Angel Falls Expedition is not a challenging trek, you get to see the waterfalls up close from the viewpoint after hiking in the jungle for about 1 hour.
The views of 'tepuys" , dense jungle and occasional waterfalls are breathtaking. Make sure you have plenty of memory to get many pictures.
After being there we understand why this place has limited visits - mainly because it is in the middle of nowhere and the political instability we read in the news. Things seem to be quite calmed there, I also speak Spanish and was able to communicate with locals who seem quite relaxed and focused on their lives.
A few advices for you all:
-Mosquito repellent in lotion.
- Open toes sandals for the boat and hiking shoes for the trail to the base of Angel Falls.
-Plastic bag to keep your clothes dry.
- Small change for tips, local guides are just great.
- Hammocks are not a big deal. Take a pair of thick socks for the night, it gets cool/chilly after midnight.

I want to thank Ben from Osprey Expeditions! We got a great service from the very first moment when we got in contact.
Highly recommended tour operator in Venezuela and also in Colombia.

More advices: sit on the back of the boat, ask your guide to give you that spot in the boat (right by the bags/load/supplies covered with plastic). Sure he knows what I am talking about.
You are going to get wet in the boat!
If you visit Caracas ask Ben to show you the city. You will be amazed!
Take US$ cash with you, preferably small notes, $1-5-10

Enjoy!

Great travel in Venezuela
Dec. 2019
I traveled in Venezuela for two weeks in December.
Given that I had only two weeks of vacation, I searched for some local operators in order to travel very efficiently although I normally prefer on my own. I contacted several local tour companies, but I decided to work with explorepartners.com since they a long history of experience.
For 14 days I traveled to La Gran Sabana, Angel Falls tour plus Caracas and Los Roques. During my tour, I did not worry about my safety because partners provided all services. Remember to bring USD small cash.

La Gran Sabana 6 nights and Angel Falls 2 nights in Ucaima Camp + 4 days in Posada Los Roques.
It was all amazing + I really enjoyed it all but the weather could have been better in the eastern part of the country. When it is rainy season it is harder to see great views compared to dry season. The rainy season is the best time to visit Angel Falls. You might visit several falls including Angel falls for 3 days. Obviously Angel Falls are the most famous tourist place compared to other falls during the tour, I personally preferred other falls and the islands of Los Roques because of various activities. You could swim and dive all day.

The whole tour was exciting - the last day I had chance to go to Caracas. Many people might avoid traveling to Caracas given the safety issue. But there is no problema - great life style and atmosphere here. Thanks to the local guide provided I could look around Caracas and learn many things about Venezuela including the Islands.

The reason you come to this part of the world.
Nov. 2019
It is a wonder of the natural world and rightly so. What is even more incredible is that you get to share it with the people you are travelling with and that's about it. There is no one around. No jostling for photo opportunities because it is just you and that waterfall! Incredible. The trip we took was on long boats from near Waku Lodge where we stayed. The boatmen do an incredible job through the rapids and it took us just over four hours to get there. The hike up to the viewing platform is strenuous and I would suggest poles but the view is worth it. You will get wet on the boat so make sure you have good waterproof gear particularly for your cameras. A trip I will never forget.

amazingly beautiful
Feb. 2019
We experienced this wonder in all of its glory many years ago in 1982. We stayed overnight in Canaima Village. Rose at 5 in the morning and took wooden power boats along the river for hours to Mouse Island. Then trod across the island to the base of the falls and felt the power of them cascade down. On the way back we visited another falls.
The next day we flew over the Falls on a ancient DC 9 plane and we had to crank the wheels up and down. It was right out of a Indiana Jones movie but what a absolutely awesome sight. In the day it was arranged by Avianca Airlines.

Absolutely stunning
Nov. 2019
Stayed at Waku lodge and did day trip to the falls. The boat trip was good, got a bit wet going through some rapids but boatmen excellent. The hike up to the base of the falls is steep in parts with tree roots and rocks +++, I used hiking stix which were very beneficial, the top of the falls was covered in clouds when we go there but soon cleared.......stunning. Hike down needs to be taken slowly . Also did flight over falls the next day- great views

Angel Eco Tours offer a prime service despite the current circumstances in Venezuela. I loved the trip to breath-taking Canaima but the expertise and great service provided by Ben Rodriguez and his team made it even more memorable. He was in contact with me on daily basis to confirm everthing was as expected. As long as you remaim flexible to experience the adventure of visiting Venezuela you can be sure Angel Eco tour will take great care of you! I will recommended 100%

One of the breath-taking destinations in the world!
It is recommended that a first trip (maybe en route to Kavac) by airplane be made.
A boat trip upriver, with a difficult climb to the base of the falls, is mandatory, with an overnight at a rudimentary but acceptable camp.
An excellent but expensive alternative is an additional helicopter trip.
The 3 views have different scopes but together give a full impression of one of the most beautiful destinations ever.
