As locals told me its not the safest place to be at night.I recommend avoding it and going during the day,it's interesting to visit if you are architect buff.

Even though it has recently been the center of student unrest and police represion. it is still the center of learning and the largest combination of university buildings with beatifull arquitecture

Its the largest University in Venezuela, the school is very well maintained, fairly well equipped with computers,the professors and students are 95% Venezuelans.
