A day at Parque El Agua in Margarita
Apr. 2018
When I visited the water park (2018), I carried my two sons as well who were 1 and 9 years old at the time. I paid an entrance fee of Bs. 1,000,000 per person which was an average of USD 15 for me because I got an exchange rate of USD 1 to VEF 70,000 (also known as Bs.) from a friend of a friend. This entrance fee is just for tourists because the locals pay a different, lower rate. I did not have to pay for my younger son so he entered for free. Cannot remember the cost for the lockers but I did rent one. Also had to pay a deposit of Bs. 200,000 which I got back after I returned the key when leaving. Before we entered there were persons outside doing some face painting for free. It was also Carnival time in Venezuela. Upon entering the compound our bags were checked. The park was very deserted! I would assume that it was a result of the crisis taking place in the country. There are food and drinks on sale of course, as well as bathroom facilities and a gift shop. There are chairs, tables and umbrellas around the park that everyone can use. Firstly the water was very cold when I was there, the kids' pool in particular. The kids' pool is where the younger ones who are not able to use the water slides because of height or age limitations can enjoy themselves. There is also a little pool area and a lazy river where persons can just relax. Slides close at certain times around lunch, but not all at once. The park has a lot of potential but no matter if there are a few persons or a big crowd you will definitely enjoy your day at the water park.

More than half of the park is closed.
Nov. 2018 • Family
Due to lack of tourists, The park has closed more than half of the park and lowered the waterlevel. The pool that was 1.80 is now 0.80. Saving money....

I would bet that within 2 years will this place be closed forever.

A Fun Place to Spend the day!
Jun. 2018 • Family
I took my family there for the day. It was a lot of fun. The kids went from one area of the park to the next. We all had a lot of fun, including my wife.

A lot things changed
Jul. 2017 • Couples
Parque el Agua was always a place to visit bit the situation in the country forced them to change a lot. Here is what I found:
Foreigners must pay a different tariff, almost 3 times the price for a national. Still a good price if paid in bolivares.
No restaurants working inside the park as used to be, only a small car selling hamburgers, a small kiosk selling cachapas and drinks and another one selling candies. Because of that, people ARE ALLOWED TO BRING THEIR OWN DRINKS AND FOOD, before it was prohibited.
They have lockers where people can storage their valuables, NEED TO ASK FOR IT AT THE ENTRANCE.
Attractions are closed from 12:30 to 13:30 for lunch time of the lifeguards.
The best now is the swimming pool with waves.
Bring a sum block and towels.
They accept cards as payment everywhere, cash is also accepted but be prepared to carry with you bags of money since is almost impossible to find big denomination bills.
If you want to spend a day in a swimming pool this is still a good option, but go ready with food and drinks ad ice.

Needs upgrade
Feb. 2017 • Family
There are some good slides in the park but it really needs a facelift. When we went a only one place was open to get food and they quickly ran out. I guess no one is immune to what is happening on the mainland.

I did this years ago on a class trip for Spanish class. We really enjoyed it, had so much fun and were wiped out at the end of the day.

Nice place in a no so nice island
Oct. 2015 • Family
its one of the best options to do in an island where there is not so much to do. So if you choose this place to go, this park is a good option.
