Fortunately, the weather favored us; this time there was no rain, no hail, but a spectacular clear sky until late afternoon. In a holiday season, like this one, it is common to observe an important concentration of tourists, some in comfortable cars or couples in...More

We got there when the peak was covered by fog and it was really cold. After about 10 minutes, the fog went away and you could see the beautiful road below and hills.

Great to have somewhere that's nice and cold in Venezuela. We stopped for baño break and bought some hot tea. Was cold/rainy/foggy, but who doesn't like that type of weather???

If you're going to the city you should stop here and take a look. Have a nice walk to the church and drink a good hot chocolate.

This is the highest road in Venezuela, and I bet one of the highest in the world. At 4000 meters above sea level (over 13,000 feet) some people have trouble breading.

This is at 4,000 Mts above sea level, so beware if you are prone to headaches and height sickness. Otherwise, the view is fantastic and the air is pure and fresh.
