Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the 'cave of the white virgins' in the cliff-face on the northeast end of Poike. It sits about 60 feet down the cliff face and requires some rock climbing to get to the ledge outside the entrance. Worth a visit to see the petroglyphs carved into the interior walls.

I had really hoped to visit this cave during our one week trip. But anyone we asked about it said you are not allowed to visit it, and it is dangerous to do on your own.

We did get a guided tour of Poike, but that local Rapa Nui guide also said he could not take us there.
