We spent much of the day touring Carcross, the Desert, as well as having so much fun interacting with the animal, visiting the museum and even dogsledding. Memorable.

The self guided walking tour is an easy way to see the town. The booklet explains the history about the buildings of the past. Make sure you pick up the booklet from the information centre.

Dedicate a full day to explore Carcross town with its local artist center, its cute old style houses and cabins, its "desert" and some other of its atractions.

This little town has less than 500 residents. There are some interesting things to see. Don't miss the Matthew Watson General Store and the train station. They have a tiny gift shop and a tiny museum area. There are some historical artifacts and photographs there....More
