The whole Car Cross township only operates four short months from on May to September.! We came here on 22November 2016 during our Northern Light viewing trip and the whole town was deserted, even the post office!! Interesting viewing and drive by though. I don't mind staying here a few days! This railway only serves during tourist seasons when the... More

To be honest, there wasn't much here but there was a couple of old engines to look at. We were walking past it to get to Carcross during a visit while on a cruise. The town is much more interesting.

If you are a train lover this a great spot. If you love beautiful scenery it is breathtaking. This is an actual working station in a small town. This was part of a stop on a bus tour and I wanted to stay longer. The town has gift shops, post office and a general store which are all worth a... More

What a nice little town with wonderful people (THANKS RICK!!). Take your time and look around the whole town (bakery, bridge, beach, paddlewheeler) and experience WALKING everywhere. Great history and visit the White Pass Railway and talk with Rick, then go visit the stores and talk with the family who runs it - super people. GREAT Visitors Center with WONDERFUL... More

You feel like you are going back in time here, a one horse station in a one horse town, plenty to see and do, even on a rainy day, the scenery is incredible around here. Lots of good information in the station, and the usual stuff for sale.

We bussed from Skagway to Carcross where we then boarded our train to Bennett BC, then onwards onto Skagway. Station has a souvenir shop and clean rest rooms. We enjoyed our nixed lunch supplied on the train.

This place was very clean, lots to look at while waiting for the train to arrive. When it did arrive, it was rather confusing. As we weren't given any directions as to where to board, that part could be improved a tad if they want us to sit in specific places ( and they seemed to). Great experience.

The train station is right in the middle of Carcross, having tracks that run right through the town. The station has a gift shop, a little museum and clean restrooms. There are some outbuildings behind it and a little train called The Duchess beside it. There are picnic tables on the deck. We were sitting on the deck when the... More
