Nice beach to visit, we stoped here for the dogs. But shame about the parking charges. It only is £2 but nothing else here bar the beach.

We got there by bus from Edinburgh, but there is a car park behind the dunes. Beautiful sandy beach, rock pools, a view over the bay and shops and cafes nearby in Gullane. What more could you ask? It was not busy despite the good...More

I met some triathlete friends at the beach for a swim. It was a little choppy but the water was clear and the sand was clean. The beach is big enough to give everyone plenty of space and I noticed people setting up bases in...More

Heading says it all. Always windy but huge sandy beach. Can walk for miles. Lots of great cafes and hotels close by for bar lunches. Obviously most people visit Gullane to play golf but beach is marvellous.

Loved two brilliant walks on the beach- walk along to the end of the beach and along the dunes path and then come back through the woods. Our dog loved it as did we.

Such a lovely cove and almost deserted, we saw sanderlings feeding in their quirky way, chasing the waves in and out.

The toilets are on the left hand side of the car park. 2 min walk from the beach. Very clean, with toilet paper etc. The car park cost £2 per day which I think pays off thinking about the recycling bins, clean toilets etc.

Unsure plenty of parking space but there is a barrier. The nearby seton sands or cockenzie are better suited for this.
