While on a cruise we stopped to see airplanes land low over the beach but because of 5 cruise ships in port it was packed. We did see couple of small aircraft land in spite of the crowds so enjoyed the stop although I have...More
Nice beach, place to see the planes land & take off, quite an experience.
The good bits; the beach is nice, clean & obviously being so close to the runway is fun experience.
The sea is nice and calm, so great for a dip to...More
The beach is still small (I assume from the hurricane) and a bit crowded, but it's a do not miss experience. The incoming and outbound planes are soooo low you feel like you can reach up and touch them. This is an experience you MUST...More
What an experience! Come for the afternoon to watch international fights fly in over the beach. Such a cool sight to see and surprisingly not too noisy. The beach is quite narrow so it fills up quickly but There is a large beach bar next...More
A unique and exciting experience to be on a beach right under planes as they land at the airport. Feels as if you could reach up and touch the planes which allows for great photo opportunities, especially when the big jets land. Always lots of...More
This beach was PACKED!!! However, we could easily find a spot for a towel in the sand. There are some beach loungers & umbrellas too but get there early! Several planes came in and took off during the few hours we stayed. Patrons really didn’t...More

You can get taxies from the port. I would say you will see lots of planes coming in, of all different sizes. On arrival at the beach, there are bars on the left hand side. Go and find the surf board on the beach by the road, this will give you all the flight landing times of LARGE aircraft/airlines and I'm sure you'll get to see at least a Boeing 737. Don't expect to see the Dutch KLM 747's as they don't land/take off from there anymore. However, you will see small executive jets as well as lots of island hopping aircraft taxi's. It is well worth doing.
