We love heading to mossyard with the children. There are rocks for them to climb on and lovely clean sand to build sandcastles. Recommend heading to Lagan for coffee and cake afterwards - it’s just across the A75 from mossyard.

Visited around 6pm on 15 Sept and had the whole beach to ourselves. Parking close by with honesty box and surprisingly clean and well-stocked toilet. Enjoyed clambering over the rocks with our dog and visiting the Millennium Labyrinth. Great views all around. Lovely! There's a...More

We visited Mossyard Beach around 6pm. We were the only people on the beach and it was just beautiful. Got some lovely pictures too.

No onshore distractions for the kids and it's clean and beautiful. The only issue could be the car park as its very undulating and could get messy in bad weather for most cars, still great value for two pounds all day though.

Just a nice simple beach - no expensive arcades, no expensive cafes, no litter, clean sands, and good old family friendly fun. We adore this place, we have been staying at Mossyard caravan site for a number of years now, and the beach off the...More

Wow what a beautiful place. Never expected such an oasis in Scotland. There are no facilities so take a pack up, drinks etc.

It would be easy to whizz along the A75 , see a sign for Mossyard and not realise it was the turnoff to a fabulous little beach. Good parking, a toilet and a minutes walk from the car park onto the beach. Loved the variety...More
