On Aug 26 I set off to look for the cave , having seen the UTube video . The cave is not easy to find ; I spent about 30 min following sheep tracks & examining rocky bluffs , without success .I then met a...More

We parked the car in the residential area and walked towards where it says Caer Caradoc 0.7 miles. There is no car park or clear indication about where you should go. We cut through a farm and stopped by a fishing pond where pleasant local...More

I walked up Caer Caradoc and the Lawley which is nearby with my local walking group, the views from the top are superb if the weather is clear. We had all the seasons in one day including blazing sun and driving rain so make sure...More

It is definitely worth a climb. A fantastic view of the local area but very steep slope. I climbed up here on holiday last August and found the cave. You can see the Lawley a distance away. Slighter harder to climb than The Lawley but...More

I did this and The Lawley as part of an organised walk. It's not the most difficult walk I've ever done but it is pretty steep. Great views from the top - on a clear day.

Great views over Shropshire and beyond. We did the short circular walk from the A49 as the youngest in our party was only 5 so about 4 miles with a hill is his limit. A gentle up hill walk through the fields gave a fantastic...More

This was a bit of a strenuous climb and descent but well worth the effort. Loads of history and views to match.

Since my mid teens, I've been to Caradoc's summit many times and will never tire of the wonderful views it offers. Described in one guidebook as "Shropshire's most spectacular peak" it just cries out to be climbed. The easiest way is from Willstone Farm as...More

An historically (or perhaps mythlogically) important hill that offers a moderately challenging ascent and then rewards you with views in all directions across the Shropshire landscape. Delightful.
