We enjoyed a lovely visit to Staithes. The views down to the harbour are lovely with the fishing boats moored in the harbour. The beach is lovely to walk on any season but check the tide times before setting off.

The most charming village. Pretty harbour. Great pubs and eating places. Seafood platter at the Cod and Lobster or tea and scones at the quirky Dotty's tea room. Take time to pootle around the back streets, you'll be rewarding by pretty fisherman's cottages and quirky...More

It was a lovely early Autumn day when we visited Staithes. There is no traffic on the narrow streets of this small fishing town so walking is relatively safe, however, the walk from the car park is quite steep so not for the very elderly...More

It was a few years since our last visit but it's still just as quaint and lovely as any nostalgic memories. Off the A1 signposted to Staithes and then after barely 400 yards turn right past the Captain Cook for two adjacent car parks towards...More

Very picturesque, but not much to do. Also, if you drive all the way down to the beach, be careful with all the blind corners. In some places the road is very narrow and twisty.

This is an absolutely lovely town and at the heart of it is the beach .... at least when the tide's out. The whole area is well worth a visit though make sure you choose a pleasantly warm day if you're going to avail yourself...More

I have looked again and there are no disabled places, there are private car parks for the local residents but absolutely no disabled carparks.

Hi, there were dogs about but not being a dog owner didn't look for any signs etc. All the dogs we saw were well behaved. Good to see dogs enjoying themselves as well as responsible owners. Enjoy.
