Great to find a Museum in such a small town. Obviously Louth does have a history to tell and the Museum is worth a visit. Staff/Volunteers are wonderful and welcoming. Look for the surprise behind the old “gaol” door!

Like most museums local history is no exception, relics from many cultures, it was a woollen town. The Doomes day Book says there were thirteen mills on the river, it was a source of social gathering in the 18th century

A wonderful look back at the history of the local area. Full of local character. The Lincolnshire long wool exhibition was fascinating too.

We love dogs but they're not allowed in the museum. However, they're welcome in our outside covered space, and we have a dog bowl. Just ask if you want fresh water.
