A lady at the Tourist Information Centre recommended a visit to the gardens and even though it was a drizzly cold day they were well worth seeing. There are lots of different styles of garden and we intend going again to see it at other...More

A delightful spot, could easily be missed. Good parking, lovely walks and seating, can attract young groups who are there for the wrong reasons!

We had our wedding photos taken at the gardens and have wandered around it a few times. The gardeners do a great job maintaining it for the public. It gets quite busy in summer and is a popular place for people to have picnics. Lots...More

Surprisingly large gardens not far from the centre of Saffron Waldon. Each different section is laid out in a unique style, with the walled garden and the hedge maze as the outstanding parts. All parts are well maintained. The maze was fun to wander around...More

Bridge End Gardens is a lovely English style garden set in the 'old' part of Saffron Walden, just off of Castle Street. Beautiful in the summer especially. Look out for the viewing platform.

Can't believe it is free to enter and stroll round these gardens. Came in on a Sunday morning. Got mystified by the maze! Stunning garden areas and had lovely chats with one of the volunteer gardeners.

Yes, a lot of people walk their dogs in the gardens and in the park next door. ISTR there are some taps for watering the gardens from which you could get water for dogs too.
