Small, intimate little theatre. Can take drink in with you. Had a great evening. Audience was in good spirits. Nice wine. Marvyn Stutter had us laughing the whole time. Wonderful! Thoroughly recommended.

Such a wonderful, friendly, vibrant place - a small group of dedicated volunteers make this what it is - and Wells residents are so lucky to have it! The building is old and beautiful (as is the small harbour and seaside town, well worth a visit!). Small and quirky inside, but quite a few seats, steeply raked so you always... More

If a customer is unable to buy tickets despite making multiple online enquiries, emails and telephone calls then it doesn't matter how good the show or the venue is, they become entirely irrelevant. As a very regular theatre-goer I was very disappointed not to add the Wells Granary Theatre to my list. I spent considerable time on a fruitless attempt... More

Hello, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment about trying to book for a show. The Box Office facility is part of the service operated by the Trust, however the performances are booked by our two in house theatre companies and we rely on being sent through the information from them to put onto our website to make tickets... Wells has a great little combined theatre and cinema. If you like traditional am dram theatrics look out for one of their special shows where the locals get to strut their stuff, one of the funniest, most bonkers evenings that I've ever spent.

What a very lucky place Wells is to have a venue for screenings of films, plays and even Glyndebourne opera. We were staying in Wells just for a couple of days and were able to see an opera. Brilliant space, very cosy and informal. Cheap drinks in the bar, wine, beer, tea, coffee all allowed into the theatre.

We go to cinema screenings here whenever we are able, quirky but brilliant space & the unique nature of the presentation makes for a great night out. Excellent value.

A hidden gem with just 70 seats and friendly intimate atmosphere tucked away just off Staithe Street in the old Maltings building. Went to watch a 'pirate pantomime' during the annual Pirate Festival in September and found out they have an interesting programme of drama, music, film and comedy. Comfy seats, a bar and a nice vibe - would recommend... More

What a wonderful little theatre in which to see a variety of different professional productions. Top class entertainment and warm and friendly staff.
