Holkham is a beautiful place rich in wildlife, history and architecture. It is set in an epic landscape, combining unspoilt coastline, big skies and open countryside. Take in a spot of culture and visit the magnificent 18th century hall and explore the six acres of walled garden, part of an exciting restoration project. Visit the Field to Fork Experience and discover the fun and interactive story of food and farming at Holkham without having to put your wellies on! Let our ‘talking tools’ tell you their use; test your foody knowledge with our table-top game; enjoy our ‘Holkham Year’ film and don a Holkham tweed jacket and bowler hat for a selfie.

Children will enjoy our Woodland Adventure Play Area, with its tree house, high level walkways, rope ladders and zip wire, plus a special area just for toddlers. On high days and holidays explore further with cycle hire or discover Holkham’s watery world with our choice of rowing boats, canoes and kayaks.

Finish off your visit by treating yourself in our Courtyard Cafe, where we serve only the best, locally-sourced food and our gift shop, showcasing the work of local artisan suppliers.

Our varied programme offers delights such as chamber music and opera in the Marble Hall and open-air concerts in the park, to outdoor theatre in the courtyard. Visit our website for full information on our visitor season and events.

I normally avoid places like this. I find them boring and stuffy. However I went to the website and browsed it and it definitely felt different than other places so gave it a go. We were there off season so did not get to go into the house or hire bikes or boats. However we did a 4 mile hike... More

I went to holkham hall May of last year, it was a lovely day albeit a little cold, on arrival we saw about 50-70 deer around the area of the car park, which was an absolute thrill. The temple was amazing, we had a meal in the cafe which was good and finally a play on the park and sand... More

Took a walk round the grounds of this lovely estate. It's peaceful and glorious. Stocked with deer and a very pleasant lake. Not to be missed.

Very generous ground that a well kept. Lovely for strolling. In summer the gardens are such a delight. I've never been in the hall. Don't buy the paint it's not that good.

Holkham Beach is one of the best beaches we've ever been to! On a sunny day you can see for miles! The Beach is kept cleaned tidy to a very high standard by the estate staff who are always welcomin, on Sundays there is a coffee vendor selling lovely coffee & cakes, a brilliant experience every visit!

Holkham is well worth a visit. The house sits in beautiful grounds with safe cycle tracks and plenty of deer to spot. The recently renovated cafe has so much seating you can always get a bite to eat, even on a busy day. They do a limited selection of light lunches and sandwiches but the quality is good and queues... I love this place from the first time of visiting it. From the friendly car park staff, cafe staff and just walking around the estate is so relaxing,. We've hired bikes and walked around some of the estate but still more to discover, will be going back again in April when it all opens.

Met my family having walked along the beach and in need of a warming drink and a bite to eat. We went to the cafe on the Estate and some enjoyed the most amazing sausage rolls, whereas I chose the prawn salad. This was very enjoyavble and represented good value. The coffee was most welcome and tasted superb. You can... More

I love Holkham. Me and my girlfriend will visit here 5/6 times a year we love the surroundings the deer are quite tame and you can get a lot closer than in the wild. Best time to visit is around October as the males are in full rut you will hear the roar of the stags long before you see... More

This was a wonderful experience for eight grandchildren, plus some parents and grandparents. The only criticism I would make is that the Courtyard Cafe had very little hot food left at 1.30 pm after we had visited Father Christmas.
