Was looking forward to this visit however felt let down. The cottages were lovely. However the area was not well signposted. Numbers missing on displays and the staff not knowledgable. The smoke houses were not accessible to a wheel chair user and the corridors narrow....More

This small museum tells the story of the fishermen of King's Lynn. There are rooms set up in period style and plenty of exhibits to keep one interested. The only pity is that you cannot see the waterfront from here now.

If you are in Kings Lynn you should visit this museum. It truly reflects life of a fishing family and the cottages are a real eye opener to how people used to live.

This is a small and privately owned, but very important museum in explaining the social history of the town and the lives of the fisherfolk who lived in True's Yard in the last century. It's quite central in the town and doesn't cost much to...More
