Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Interesting history (in their pamphlet), interesting sacred and historical items inside the church, serene and calm church when we visited. Worth revisiting.

This old church is impressive and it feels so great to walk there and to see it. If the old stones could tell stories, it were .... there are tunes around it and ruins of huge old churches. Sigtuna is such a great place!

We chanced upon this church on a recent day trip to Sigtuna and found it to be very charming. It had a warm welcoming feel with interesting green carpeting in the altar area and was an interesting change to all the Baroque gilding we had seen earlier in our trip.

Mariakyrkan is definitely worth popping in for a short visit!

There is a unique activity in SigTuna - the search for viking runstones which are scattered around the city and you can attempt to find them on your own (or with a guide) - there are several (3 i think) around the mariakyrkan - but also around other churches - great few hours of detective game!

Being built in the mid-13th century, this church is one of the oldest brick buildings in the Lake Mälaren valley. Go inside for a few moments as it is as beautiful in the inside as it is on the outside.

Oldest church in Sweden, notice how tilted are the walls! The graveyard also deserves a visit! The church is not always open.

The church was erected as a part of a Dominican monastery 1237. It is the first church in Sweden at that time built in brick. It is a fantastic church with extraordinary acoustics. It is a most if you visit the first capital of Sweden

Definitely worth seeing on the inside during your visit. It's a quick stop while walking around town so maybe a max of 15 minutes is needed here.

Lovely church and even more impressive inside. You can light candles and read up on the history and importance of the church. Impressed with the Greek iconography as well inside.

We had the chance to attend a Luciatåg in this church and it was really nice. It doesn’t matter if you are religious or not, it was a unique experience. I also wanna mention that the people who administrate the church are super kind and you feel really welcomed there
