Access to this church is restricted - we came across it by accident when it happened to be open around 9 p.m. one evening. It has the usual preponderance of Spanish baroque architecture but look our for the wonderful mediaeval wooden horizontal beams.

The Real Convent of San Zoilo is the oldest church in Antequera. The Catholic Kings founded it in 1500. The main chapel has a retable that is very beautiful. The main retable was created by Antonio Palomo in 1787. The pulpit is very beautiful too....More
