Lovely church, with fantastic views. We walked down from the top, looked around and the had a drink at the bottom in the square

We visited the Colegiata de Santa Maria la Mayor on a joint ticket with the Alcazaba but definitely enjoyed the latter more. Although a large screen was assembled no film was available during our visit which could have made it more interesting. Views from the plaza are amazing.

The story of Alcazaba the Moorish castle is incomplete without a visit to the Collegiata. It features a short movie about its construction shown on a big screen in the nave. The plaza outside has bars and restaurants which we never visited but would be useful on a hot day. The views are excellent

The alcazaba ticket price includes entry into this attraction too, so if you made the climb up you might as well look around here too.

Visit this church as part of your combined visit to La Alcazaba in Antequera. A brief video gives the story and the building is fine in its simplicity and elegance.

Beautiful architecture, and was part of the audio guide tour from the Alcazaba. The most interesting thing in the church was a parade piece from a religious festival.

We visited the Real Colegiata on a combined entrance ticket to the Alcazaba, 6 euros per adult, or 3 per senior, which includes a very good audioguide. The church is impressive from outside, and inside, it is a large and COOL open space to relax, after a hot visit to the Alcazaba. In my opinion, there is little of interest... More

really reasonable prices and the history easy to grasp due to the hire of phones that tell you the history of the building and the town

This is a magificent building and a must see for lovers of architectural history, the facade overing three periods of architecture. Walking round the outside of the building gives you a real sense of the history not only of the church, but of Antequera. However, if you are expecting to see catholic splendour inside you will be disappointed as it... More
