Nice to see

It is a nice place to visit if you are in the area. A nice short walk to get there and lots of stairs to get inside the cave :)

Very nice experience! Very interesting place in the midlle of forest/mountain. Good route until there, and spectacular monument of nature. The ice from the cave is very interesting. Unfortunely, is not possible to visit more from the Ice Cave. recomended!

Even if this cave is not so spectacular because there are no stalagmites and stalactites, it hosts the largest underground ice glacier in Europe. You may see a wonderful "shrine" made of ice. The cave entrance is also very interesting.

i have visited this place several times during my life. What is scary that it become very commercial. Which has its good and its bad sides. Good: the road has been paved up to the entrance. There is a ticketing system in place. There are many possibilities for camping or renting rooms. Bad: the parking sites are not for free.... More

Scarisoara houses the largest underground glacier in Romania and probably in Europe. Scarisoara is located at an altitude of 1165 meters and contains 80,000 cubic meters of ice. The oldest ice block is based on the venerable age of 4,000 years . You have to go down and climb up some 150 stairs, but the view is realy amazing. The... More

One of the oldest ice caves existing, The access needs some physical fitness and you should not expect the perfect stairs to climb down. Only a small part can be visited without special gear. Nevertheless worth to see it.

You must visit our country!!! In the heat of summer is the perfect place to chill 🌟🌟🌟 we went there with our five year old son and he liked it very much. You can enter in the cave with your dog also. 2 degrees in the cave...you need clothes.

The going up the mountain will reveal you some interesting facts about of the inhabitants and some nice ways of building houses. The Ice cave are in fact two caves one with the iceberg... More

Vizited în a beautiful summer rainy day. Easy uphill path. Groups entering every 40 minutes. Explanations by guide before going down the metal stairs to walk on the wood bridge over the ice. Medium dawnhill. Sometime can be slippery. Gloves necesary because temp around 2°C!
