The marina is beautiful it's about 1km away from Carlingford town so there aren't a lot of visitors. the addition of a walkway along the coast towards the marina would notice more people to visit.

It is quite difficult to walk here as there isn't a footpath from the town of Carlingford to the marina. So we had to keep to the side of the road and on the grass. However, it is very scenic and picturesque when you make...More

Thanks for the review Laura B! Awh... tell me about it... We've been campaigning for a footpath between the Marina and the harbour for probably 30 years at this point! It can be quite dangerous walking under the bridge at King John's Castle. Particularly at...More

Hi Lisa, Thank you for your review! Yeah, it's particularly quiet round here in September and October - just as the sailing season ends. Perfect for a nice, peaceful stroll. :) Bliss Hope to see you again soon! Jonny

Unfortunately whilst in Carlingford it was lashing rain but we still walked to the Marina. The tide was in and I really enjoyed the scenery. Worth walking to for the views and fresh sea air.More

Hi Shelly-Ann, Good on ya for getting out for a walk, despite the lashing rain! In my opinion; Carlingford Lough looks its best on a clear and crisp winters morning. If you find yourself back down this way again between November and January, I'd highly...More

Probably the ugliest marina I have ever seen, it actually seems abandoned. We had a drink in the bar, that was nice enough with good WiFi and nice views if you didn't look down. We also started the walk but we only did a couple...More

Hi Alavotre, Wow... Ugliest ever? I'm a bit hurt! It's a fair point though. We're a bit rough around the edges still... As the project develops we'll be able to focus more on the "frills" as opposed to just the functionality. If you were to...More
