This is not a big, fancy information center, but they have lots of pamphlets and the staff seemed happy to answer questions and give directions. And it is inside a really nice gift shop, featuring Iceland made items. It's worth a quick stop.
This was a lost opportunity - the information centre was only opened for a few hours per week, which happened to not coincide with our 2 day visit. So, we got all our tourist information from our Kayaking tour guide Hlynur Oddsson.
