Lots of birdlife surrounding this interesting lake. Seeing a pseudo crater was neat. Green around the lake and then to see a large crater and lava fields. Had the opportunity to horseback ride on the lake is something I will always remember.

Just when you turn the corner and begin your walk/hike you really expect to see Princess Leia or Hans Solo. This landscape is right out of a science fiction novel. Wondrous!

I like Lake Myvatn because there are a lot of birds singing while I take a walk. Also, beautiful yellow flowers are welcoming me everywhere.

It's a beautiful lake with good fishing in the area, we saw lots of fishing spots. We primarily went to go into the hot baths.

Magical place to see, ever changing colours , rocks of lava in the water. Pure earth nature, beautiful through any angle

We spent an evening driving around Lake Myvatn stopping occasionally to take a photo or enjoy watching the flocks of Whooping Swans and other diverse water fowl. Ended with a lovely rainbow across the lake!

Really enjoyed an evening here. A lot to see and take in. Wonderfully quiet the later you go, and why not given the perpetual daylight. Easy to park, easy to explore. Sped spot time here. Beautiful solitude.
