Be ready to hike a few dozen stairs to reach the church, but it is worth it. The story behind the church’s creation is interesting, be sure to look it up before you go!

Its a bit of a hike but well worth it. I would consider this one a must see if you visit Idar Oberstein.

This is a nice place to build a church. It is not very special, but if you are in the vicinity it is worth a stopover.

One of the highlights in town. The stairs might be a bit challenging if you are not a bit fit :). But it’s worth the effort. Beautiful and charming small church!

It cost some euros entry but it's worth it and beautiful. You need to climb very high and you need to be physically fit.

This is really a nice cute church built into the rocks. And there are still church services every third Sunday of the month apparently. I loved the view of Idar-Oberstein. There isnt much to see once inside, except for admiring the architecture and town view....More

The church is tucked into a mountain and you must climb the stairs to reach it. The view is most spectacular overlooking the village. A quaint and tiny church. The village below is picturesque and lovely to stroll some shops and have a refreshment.

What a wonder....it was worth it to climb the steps & go through the tunnel. It's Avery nice church, The spring still runs inside, there is a beautiful organ from the 1700's, go out to the overlook and oversee Idar-oberstein. There are a lot of...More
