It appears that, aside from scheduled mass, the church is locked up tight in November and December. And although it was 20- degrees and snowing, I still enjoyed walking around the church grounds. I just wish I could have gone inside.
This may have been my favorite location on our vacation. Beautiful in every way. Tip: The Saturday vigil mass is not at this location. It's at the parish center about 10 minutes away. Sunday mass is at the church. Not wheelchair accessible.
My wife really loved the design and where it is located. It is truly a beautiful church and quite unique because of the bell tower. The belltower is the way to get to the church. With it being fall you have quite a view from...More

No this beautiful church is free to enter for all but I'd suggest a donation to light a candle to help the church. This church is unusual in the sense that it's entered through the bell tower, according to that collector of oddities, Ripley, it's the only such church in the world to be entered in such a way. Don't miss having a look at the Crescent Hotel just above the hill from St. Elizabeth's. It's a beautiful Victorian era Hotel with a long history and is considered by some to be one of the most haunted hotels in the USA.
