Patan Durban square is quite well preserved.
It’s a small short walk relatively. You can see the magnificent buildings well preserved . The museum is on the way and worth visiting.
Pagan was one of the previous kingdom capital on the valley .
I enjoyed Patan Durbar square much more than Kathmandu's. There seem to be more buildings you can go in and look around all while being much less crowded. It is much more relaxed than in Kathmandu and seems cleaner as well.

Magnificent central square in Patan. A number of structures devoted to different deities, some destroyed by the recent earthquake. But still imposing. Some shops selling beads & other trinkets. A UNESCO heritage site. There is also a wonderful museum.
There are a lot of activities to reconstruct the city after the 2015 earthquake but walking around the city one can appreciate the mystical atmosphere of Patan.
