There is a memorial here, as well as a children's playground. Our favorite playground in the area, it still includes a mary-go-round!

Respect to be had for them but not much to it short history info! Although 1500 people was a huge amount back in 1800's no roads all on horseback n foot

Its hard to not tear up reading the history on this wonderful location. Its a must see! I must say that I feel as if the Confederate flag should still fly here. ....Respect. ...

I play the fiddle/violin and I go over to the site periodically and play Civil War tunes for the boys...even though they aren't up and running... I think they can hear my songs and probably enjoy hearing them. They make a wonderful audiance...none of them...More
