When Sam Walton opened his 5&10 on the Bentonville town square in 1950, he had no idea he'd planted the seeds for what would become the global leader in retail, saving millions of people money so they could live better. Today, that humble little dime store is the location of The Walmart Museum. A family-friendly experience in 3 parts, the Museum features a world-class exhibit gallery, Walton's 5&10, and The Spark Cafe. Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.M. - 9:00 P.M. Friday - Saturday: 8:00a.M. - 10:00P.M. Sunday: 12:00 p.M. - 9:00 P.M.

The 5 and Dime store was small but quaint. The museum had a lot of reading and information yet not much interactive displays. The truck was great. Ice cream was not creamy but had good flavor.

You can be there as long as you want -- it's free and very interesting! Be sure and make yourself a name tag with your very own bar code.

Housed in the iconic "5 and Dime" that started this expansive family business, the story that I didn't know I needed to know, was really interesting!!

This museum is wonderful to understand the growth of one man's dream of success. It has videos to watch, drawers full of more information throughout its history and Sam's office is on display and his favorite truck.

Hi Nancy C! We do not offer any bus shuttles. However, Bentonville does offer plenty of free parking around the square. There are a few parking lots, versus street parking, where a camper would fit.
