When Sam Walton opened his 5&10 on the Bentonville town square in 1950, he had no idea he'd planted the seeds for what would become the global leader in retail, saving millions of people money so they could live better. Today, that humble little dime store is the location of The Walmart Museum. A family-friendly experience in 3 parts, the Museum features a world-class exhibit gallery, Walton's 5&10, and The Spark Cafe.

I make it a point never to set foot in a Walmart but I did want to see the 5-10 store. My sweetie made me go to the museum which I didn't want to do and I was actually charmed by it. First I had to use the restroom and was entertained by the old Walmart ads that are the... More

You will have a glimpse of the humle beginning of Sam Walton and his success due to hard work honesty and appreciation of the people who helped him along the way, his workers. He has tips on how to achieve your dreams. Inspiring!

The museum was very interesting. The video at the beginning was amazing. The history behind Walmart and the founder was an eye opener. Sam Walton was an amazing and driven man who strived to make life better for others.

We have been to Bentonville many times. But this is the first time we went into the Walmart store. And we were very pleasantly surprised at the museum. Replica of Sam Walton's office was interesting. Definitely would recommend. It is free. And the store has a lot of unusual gadgets and candy.

What a great museum and such an interesting insight about the world's largest retailer! Humbling to see how it started from such small beginnings and inspire to see the success achieved. Fantastic exhibits including Sam Walton's actual office!

I had not head about this museum prior to walking in the store on the Bentonville square. When we walked in, I expected that it would be kind of lame, but boy was i surprised! What a very nice, well-organized, museum! If you are in the area, this is a must-see! It made me appreciate Sam Walton even more.

Interesting history of Walmart -- but more of Sam Walton. Interesting youth and story of starting the store that became the empire we know today. The front of the museum has an ice cream parlor and five-and-dime type gift store -- with A LOT of candy from my youth (1960's).

A tribute to Sam Walton. Nice to visit, interesting, probably not worth lots of time but worth a short visit.
