Made a short walk around the Hotel and found this gem with some history of the area. Nice to see and learn about the Railroad.

We stayed at the Garden Inn and went for a walk back by the reservoir and walked around to the river side and came across the park. Lots of interesting facts about the Yuma area, it's history and the importance of this area. Well worth...More

We visited in January with our 2yr old grandson. He enjoyed looking in the engine, but had to be lifted up to see into the cab. The engine looks good from 30 feet, but, up close there is a lot of deterioration and instrument damage...More

Stop by and get some education. This park is small but very quaint. It was well kept and the grass areas were green and manicured. The educational value was good and there was no cover charge to enter.

The Colorado River, once called “the Nile of America” was a major barrier to those crossing the nation. Here at Yuma the river pinched just enough that a ferry could operate and, at the same time, the river was deep enough to maintain a port...More

We spent a very pleasant hour at the heritage area. We visited the area as an overnight stop and spotted the steam train from the main street. The boards are very informative and the riverside a revelation.

I enjoyed walking around here. The locomotive was interesting to look over. The area grounds are nice and has a great view of the Colorado river. Looks like a nice spot for a picnic when the weather is not too hot.
