The life and home of E.F. Sanguinetti was presented in a fun and interesting way thanks to our tour guide. Mr. Sanquinetti came to Yuma when he was 15 and penniless. He learned the mercantile trade as a boy and became well known in Yuma. His hard work and business savvy made him very wealthy. However, WW1 brought a severe... More

I'd been here before, but never got to go into the museum. So glad I did! Really nice gift shop with all sorts of local history books and some nice gifts and a few antiques too! The museum has tours which you can take. The people that explained things inside the house were really helpful with the local history of... More

This museum shows a variety of experiences in early Yuma life inside a former top citizen's home in the early to mid-twentieth century. The guide volunteers were informed and interesting. My only complaint is the hours posted on TripAdvisor were 10 am to 4 pm. We arrived at 2:25 pm and the door sign said they closed at 3 pm.... More

Went to a well presented and very interesting lecture here this morning by a descendant of Olive Oatman. Followed by some music from a western swing band. The grounds, museum, and gift shop are something you don't want to miss in Yuma. Highly informative any entertaining.

We went to the Sanginetti House because it was the starting place for the trolley tour of historic Yuma. The house was very well done but the star of the show is the trolley tour. It doesn't take you far but the guide is fascinating. He knows not only the history book history but also the scandals and gossip about... More

We had a tour guide who was very good and the exhibits were really interesting and entertaining. There were many unusual items that we've never seen before.

The house is interesting, but only a few rooms, very short tour, but if you are looking for something to do, it is worth going to. The grounds around the house are lovely and the shops around it very cute. Also a great Cafe in the back where it is very nice and popular to sit out at and have... More

We really enjoyed our visit to this Museum. We have 3 different tour guides giving us lots of interesting information. We also stopped for lunch at the café next door. Great food.

This museum is packed with so many artifacts my head was reeling..fortunately the the tour guide (Jean) and i we able to converse (it was on a mid day visit on a Wednesday) The Sanguinetti family was a core part of early Yuma history and the story is told well through writings, memorabilia and vintage artifacts. Its inexpensive a good for... More

It was very much worth visiting and the guides were excellent. If one does not appreciate historical furnishings and how people lived a century ago, then this may not be for you. But even kids are usually interested in old Edison players or kitchen utensils etc - if you engage them.
