Williams is a interesting town and lots of historical facts to see. The Grand Canyon railway is interesting and good to see the station still operates. It's well renewed and really brief the old atmosphere

Elevation doesn't change much along train route. Train leaves from Williams, AZ at 7100 ft. elev. and arrives at Grand Canyon at 6800 ft. elev.

You cannot take your pet on the train. We used the kennel at the Grand Canyon Hotel and had a very good experience with them. They book up fast so call ahead if that is the route you take.
