Another amazing experience with Tornado Excursions. They arranged a hike up to the summit of Volcan Atitlan which included an early morning pick up in their private boat and two guides who included a local person from Santiago. Thoroughly professional and up front. No hidden expenses. Super nice people. At the end of a relatively strenuous hike they were waiting... More

We went on a seven mile hike from Santa Cruz to San Marcos. Our guide, Domingo was a friendly guy, who speaks good English, and seems to know everybody. He was born and raised in San Pedro. He invited us to his home in San Pedro for a additional lunch after our four hour hike. The hike followed the perimeter... More

Booked a guided kayak tour around the lake. I showed up at the specified time, 8am and the place was closed and guide showed up late. Guide said the water was choppy today, but that it would be fine to go San Juan instead of San Marcos. We went out, but the water was SUPER CHOPPY. I thought my kayak... More

I did the San Pedro volcano trek. I got picked up at 6am from Panajachel and then we got the boat to San Pedro. After a quick stop to have breakfast and grab some water/snacks for the day we got taken in a tuk tuk to the start of the trail. It was a hard trek, from the start is... More

There was only 5 of us in our group on Volcan San Pedro, but the guide went very fast not waiting for anyone. I don't remember his name because he barely spoke to us. Average time up is 3-3.5 hrs, and we were done in 2 hours 25 min.I asked to slow down, but he didn't. I'm in my twenties... More

I cannot recommend Tornado Excursions enough, specifically Domingo as your tour guide. Domingo and I hiked to the top of San Pedro Volcano, an incredible 3 hour climb to the top and 2 hours down. Throughout the climb Domingo gave me informative facts about the volcano along with Lake Atitlan while also making sure I was o.k. and stopping when... More
