We’ve seen waterfalls in many countries, including several in Costa Rica, and this one was the most amazing we’ve ever seen. We got the 4x4 to take us to the waterfall for $28 a person and we’re so glad we did because the 2.5 mile...More
Definitely recommend the keep your unless you are in fantastic shape we saw birds and butterflies along the drive and a deer...the waterfalls are breathtaking for swimming the guide said April is best.
My friends and I went to Nauyaca towards the last week of November and that falls towards the end of the rainy season so the weather was perfect. We took the 4x4 to the waterfall and spent about 2 hours at the falls. The upper...More

A friend and I did the 4.5 KM hike into the falls this week. Stop and park just off the highway by the office where you'll need to buy a ticket at $8/per person and another $3 if you want to drive to the parking...More
The hike up to the waterfalls is hard enough that dipping into the pool at the waterfalls is well worth the fort! The falls themselves are really gorgeous. I only spent 45min swimming and wish I had more time. Caution: rocks near the falls are...More
We chose the 9am basic truck tour after reading most of the reviews on TA. I am SO glad we did. Our guide was Michael and he was incredibly kind. He gladly stopped for photos along the journey (he gave us the code to knock...More

Fantastic place to visit. Beautiful falls. I didn't get to swim there because the water was too fierce but worth the trip anyway. I'm sure it's better when you can swim. Good hike if you are looking for a hike but can also go by...More
Nauyaca Waterfalls was so so so beautiful! It was the perfect way to end our trip to Costa Rica. The water was really cold but refreshing. I really appreciated that the natural environment surrounding the falls was so preserved. You go in still feeling one...More

We just went 3 weeks ago. The truck was the best money we spent. You get an amazing tour of the family farm along the ride and they deliver you right to the top of the falls. Trust me, worth every penny.

This isn't a park. It is private property. I wasn't there but from what locals say it was a fall. First accident in many years at this waterfalls and there are people there every day. It is always so tragic when someone loses their life in an accident. Costa Rica is a country where when you take risks you are responsible for the outcomes - it isn't the US where you can sue someone. The ride to the falls is booked in advanced and guided - but if you want to walk you just go whenever you want. The ride is fairly is easy and the horses experienced or you can walk the road to the falls. The falls are very slippery rocks and it would be easy to fall. Lots of people climb up the falls - as high as they feel comfortable - and they jump into the water. Only do that if you know what you are doing - as is true everywhere - rocks and waterfalls are dangerous.
I'm sorry but I really don't know - check out their website or email or ring ahead I would suggest. I doubt you can take it if you want to do the riding trip but if walking or going on the 4x4 it may be possible...
