The flight of the toucan tour was awesome!! Our guides, Ronald and Juan Carlos, spoke perfect English, were very knowledgeable, and really funny! I was terrified of ziplining, and these two guides knew exactly how to reassure me and keep me calm - and I actually ENJOYED the experience. It's a great adventure but absolutely perfect for a newbie or... More

This is a great place to visit to see lots of native birds, animals, plants and trees of Costa Rica. You can take a guided walk with a Naturalist or ride the family-friendly zip-line through the rain forest with a guide. It was a fun morning..entertaining and interesting. They also have a nice little restaurant and gift shop.

These guys are reinstating rain forest and building vital wildlife habitats. We went with a guide and paid 13750 crc per person for 2 hours which was great value in a small group. We saw all sorts of flowers insects, birds, lizards mammals. It's easy walking on good paths . Their carpark has a guard on it too. Highly recommend

We enjoyed the zip line at Hacienda Baru very much. The guides were friendly and thorough and managed to find many animals on our way up (sloths, monkeys, leaf cutters, tarantula, butterfly). The canopy tours were fun, and our group was small enough that we got to know each other and chatted a bit. The children in our group had... More

We were just passing through and went for a walk for a few hours. Nice trails with some wildlife. You can head for an observation tower in the mountain or take a trail to the beach. The beach is pretty rocky. Nice place and very little people when we visited.

Did the lowland bird walk with an excellent guide. Very knowable and keen eyesight. Loads of local info! Restaurant is Ok. Rooms are clean and have maid service. Staff is very helpful. Gift shop has some interesting items and a good book selection. Swimming pool is clean and warm. Good for all ages. I would recommend this to all people... More

The staff was amazing. We spent half a day zip lining through the canopy of the jungle, with huge smiles on our faces. We saw all kinds of wildlife, and learned some things along the way. I highly recommend this excursion.

Did the toucan trip with my family last week and had a wonderful time. Ronald was an excellent guide and helped my two girls spot sloths, monkeys, and a coati as well as plenty of other interesting bits of information. Very glad we went and was definitely worth the money.

Good way to spend a few hours. Nice hike with guides spotting animals for you with scopes. The zip lines were good for first timers. Not very long and not too many. Worth the effort if you have the time and money.

I was very disappointed with this one. The staff are disinterested and I had to persistently ask about their facilities as they didn't tell us what our entrance fee covered, or what else you can do there. You pay for a trail basically and a few sign boards. Hardly saw anything - one coati, a toucan very far away and... More
