Located on Arizona State University campus, this 18-hole championship golf course offers plenty of mounds and water, plus a good mixture of hole lengths and doglegs for a challenging game.

Nice course

Should be named Tons of Mounds. If you miss the fairway you will most likely have a blind shot to the green. Otherwise pretty wide open with some water challenges.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this course before now. I love this course. It was designed by Pete Dye, a legend in American golf course design (ala: Sawgrass, Whistling Straights, to name a few). I've played this course a couple dozen times and simply love it. Yes, it is a challenging course, but generally forgiving if you don't panic. It... More

The pending tear-down of the golf course makes it a timely course to try and get a few rounds in. It's beautiful, quick and parking is really easy. Pretty affordable too.

This was a nice course to play for a reasonable price. It is on the ASU campus and is right in Tempe. We played in May right after greens were aerated but they still played nicely. The course was in good shape but don't expect a resort caliber course. There are a lot of high wires surrounding course being that... More

Great course that was in excellent shape. Greens rolled true and all in all it played very friendly. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit to ASU Karsten when visiting the Phoenix area.

I played alone and chose this course as it was close to my hotel. Sometimes when travelling it is very difficult to get tee times when you are on your own. No problem here. The course is quite hilly but in great condition and well looked after. Being on your own is a little difficult to navigate as some of... More

Played this course during spring break in March. First of all, what a nice staff ~ very welcoming and helpful. The course was very fun ~ every hole was challenging and made you think about where to put the ball. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Being an OB member, the price was right. The atmosphere was great. Clubhouse was fun with... More

Great golf course for a great price but it's a very tough course in my books so if your looking for an easy course don't go here but if you want a nice hard course I recommend

We played this course when we first arrived in January. It was middle of the week and not very busy. The course was in great shape and pace of play was wonderful. We booked through a golf broker however I have seen some good rates through Golfnow. Evidently the ASU golf team is moving to Popago and the Karsten course... More

This course is a typical Pete Dye course-narrow fairways, moguls and bunkers (grass and sand) everywhere, blind shots on several holes. The driving range was pretty beat up the day we played and some people were using mats. Not visually appealing-hydro towers and power lines, dormant bermuda grass if you are off the fairway. No marshals so people were driving... More
