A bit of a misnomer calling it a beach, but the park is nice and clean with great wide paved area to walk alongside the lake, take in the bridges and art center and then stroll back into town. If you are staying downtown this...More

We came here for Oktoberfest. The festival wasn't what we expected, but the park was great. We ended up sitting by the river for most of the night, which was relaxing w/ a drink.

Good place for a stroll and to soak up the sun. Water sports facilities are available and food trucks on certain days.

It's a place to walk to. It might be nice at night. It's not really a beach. It could use more seating and shade.

Worth a wonder around if you are staying in the area. Not a lot of shade, so early morning or late afternoon would be the best times.

I went there for the 9ll tribute, quite moving, even though it was ll0 degrees out, the tribute and the water made it seem cooler

The view of the water is lovely as you walk along the wide, flat, paved path beside the river. The park and its walking paths are reachable by the light rail and are within walking distance of the ASU campus, many shops, restaurants, and hotels....More

A great way to spend a day strolling along the water. Nice wide sidewalks. We walked along the canal, crossed over the pedestrian bridge, back the other side. You can extend the distance a lot farther if you want.

I wouldn’t want to swim in that water. It’s stinky. Besides, there’s boats going around. Don’t want to be hit by one.
