Confusion is at work here
Jun. 2021
So many well-meaning reviewers have stood and looked out over the vast expanse, presumable from the viewing area just down a bit from Pink Jeep Cafe, and are certain that they have identified Snoopy as the BIGGER of the two formations. Not so, folks. Look to the right. There is a little ridge of red rock with a bump on its nose (Woodstock) and that is all there is.

Even TA's well-intentioned photo (above) incorrectly identifies Snoopy and his BFF Woodstock. A photo gallery along the sidewalk informs viewers where Snoopy is. Look for that little pile of 3 rocks. Snoopy's head is to the left with Woodstock on its tip. Snoopy's feet point upwards. Snoopy's fat little stomach is in the middle.

Give Snoopy his propers. He deserves recognition!

Snoopy Rock....But where is Woodstock?....
Apr. 2021
This was a cool find while in Sedona....There are so many named "Red Rocks" in this area but only one is cool enough to be "Snoopy Rock"....

While it may take a little imagination to see Snoopy, once you see him you know why this rock formation is named after one of the world's most famous dogs....

Snoopy Rock is certainly not to be missed while in Sedona....

We stopped an saw it from the road. Snoopy is there along with his bird friend. Yes he is lying down like he does on his dog house.

Private Road
Apr. 2021 • Couples
We google mapped directions to Snoopy Rock from downtown Sedona and every turn had us going up a Private road. Least to say we did not follow these directions but did make it to a view point where we could see the rock but wasn’t as clearly seen as Snoopy as you would have thought, and no sign of Lucy. Sounds like doing a private tour is the best way to see it.

Located right on the main shopping center in Sedona. Next to the pink jeep tours. Fun to see Snoopy and get a glimpse of the river below.

Know Where to Look
Aug. 2020
Snoopy Rock is one of the better known rock formations surrounding Sedona. However, you have to know where to look. You can't hike to it. You can see if while driving but for everyone else's safety, stop to look. Your best bet is somewhere in the vicinity to the "y." (It's where 89A and 179 meet at the roundabouts just south of Uptown. Look west. You'll see a larger, jagged rock formation with a smaller formation lower and to the right. That right formation is Snoopy Rock. He's lying on his back with Woodstock on his nose.

We would not have known this was called Snoopy Rock if the lady at the Harley Davidson Store had not told us. I am so glad she did and told us the one beside it was called 'Lucy' and she was watching over Snoopy.
