I did go on this trail but we had a driver so it was the safer way to go. The road was definitely full of pot holes that made it a wild ride. The turns and unexpected vistas made the outing more interesting. The driver was great and pointed out the various rock formations some of which were breathtaking. We truly enjoyed this hike. It was diverse with great views and a unique landscape. We hiked for 1 1/2 hours and had to turn around as we were pressed for time. Allow plenty of time to enjoy this. Follow the Trail signs to avoid getting off trail like we did.

We got a little bit sidetracked and ended up in twin buttes and hog haven trails, turned around and finished in chicken loop. The views were beautiful and moderate intensity. The hog haven was hard and we didn’t finish it, but the view from there was worth the extra effort.

Broken Arrow Trail should be hiked if possible. Jeep tours will not do justice to the trail and vistas . The trail is not difficult and has many stopping points to take in the views. Definitely try to make it up to Chicken Point. This trail is not well advertised and heard about it while chatting with others in town.…
