If you are traveling to Sedona looking for vortexes and unfamiliar with Schnebly Hill Road, be warned that it is a very primitive undeveloped dirt road that is dangerous, especially at night! You will wreck up a small little rental car on this road and...More

Drive at your own risk if you have a high clearance vehicle or take a commercial jeep ride. Nice views of Thumb Butte and the Bench.

If you like a rough ride and beautiful scenery, you'll love this drive through the Sedona Red Rock country. Either coming down from Flagstaff or from Sedona to Flagstaff, it's a beautiful and breathtaking experience.

I traveled Schnebly Hill Road a couple of times before about 10 years ago and it was in better shape back then. When I first drove on the road 10 years ago it was a little bouncy and had to steer around rocks periodically, but...More

We always love "off the beaten path" routes, but perhaps we went a little too far on this one. It's 12 miles from rte 17 to Sedona on this dirt road, but it took over 2 hours in an F350, if that gives you any...More

I must admit, we took this road at a very bad time. It was at night during a rainstorm so that had a lot to do with this review. We were coming home from Flagstaff and Hwy 117 was at a standstill. We knew Schnebly...More

Beautiful, beautiful scenery. It leaves the busy hustle, bustle of the city and enters the beauty of Sedona hills. The winding road provides locations to stop and admire the surroundings

This was a really fun day trip. We have a big jeep so the rocks didn't bother us but an all wheel drive or SUV can make this trip very easily. It is very bumpy, no obstacles though. Go very early in morning and take...More

We did this road with Pink Jeep Tours. It was a very rough ride but our group had a lot of fun and there are some stunning views. Definitely would not recommend this for anyone with back or neck problems or if you are prone...More

My girlfriend and I have been wanting to do this trail for a while in our Jeep Wrangler. Ended up going this time and we really enjoyed the trail. Pretty Rocky and long enough to have fun. There are also some amazing views along the...More

This is a great tour and should have no problems with your concern for heights.

The ride is only worthwhile during the daytime with good visibility so you can enjoy the views. So only downhill from I-17 into Sedona. No other reason on earth to take this trip unless you want to have a 4-wheel-drive... More

Assume you mean Jeep Compass? Anyway, as noted by someone else, 8" just enough, but the drive will be very slow (probably close to 2 hours for about 10 km.) and find out if the Compass has 4wd, I would not attempt with with... More
