Rough ride

Beautiful drive with great views but the road has gotten very rough even with a jeep - and not so fun.

This is a short 2 hour off road trail that you can take from Flagstaff to Sedona. The views are breathtaking.

If you don't have a jeep or high clearance vehicle, park in the lot on the left a short drive up Schnebly hill for some nice views of Sedona as well as the surrounding rocks. I came here at sunset with no crowds and got great shots.

Wow, what a great off-road experience!! Make sure you have 4 wheel drive and plenty of ground clearance. The road is exceptionally rough and challenging in some parts, but it offers amazing views and a unique off-road experience. "Pink Jeep" off-road tours and other businesses take their tours up and down this road, and because private drivers seem to be... More

We just got back (5/8/17) from driving Schnebly Hill Road in our Tahoe that has a 4" lift. I enjoy four-wheeling, but this road was VERY rough. We started off the trip on the north end and went south (downhill). Had I known how bad of shape the road is currently in we would not have taken it. From I-17... More

We had the use of a 4 Runner which was a MUST for this drive. A must for 4 wheel drive with high clearance. The road is extremely rocky and bumpy and great care is needed. The 5 mile drive took about 1.5 hours to the very top. Some of the local Pink Jeep Tours moved along faster then we... More

This road is a bit windy and narrow in some areas. There is a huge bridge where you can park to the side and walk down down into the canyon. Very beautiful but drive carefully

We took a guided jeep tour up this road, and while it was beautiful, it was a slow bumpy drive on an old poorly maintained road. But we went all the way to the top and it was worth it for the views from the overlook at the top

This has one of the most majestic views of Sedona. It is best to drive in from I17. The road from Sedona to the top is narrow and dirt.

1st up, we rented a jeep from Barlow's for the day, and this was the 1st trail we drove. It was a Rubicon Jeep, and it bounced up to the top no problem at all. Do not attempt to drive this in a pickup truck or SUV. It was a 2 hour round trip in 4L, about 90 minutes up... More
