This is a very rocky bumpy ride. I highly recommend a vehicle with high clearance. Once you get to the top the views are amazing! I want to get up there again and camp. I would LOVE to wake up to this view.

We drove to the top of Schnebly Hill Road this year just to see if it had been developed any more than it was 5 years ago. We went up as far as the paved road and view points. Five years ago our GPS routed us via Schnebly Hill on our return to Sedona from Mormon Lake - not passible by standard vehicles, luckily we had rented a Jeep - we were still concerned as it was a rental vehicle but it was quite the adventure. No problem driving to the vista point on a paved road for beautiful views of Sedona with the Red Rock mountains in the backdrop. However, DO NOT attempt to drive beyond this point with your own vehicle. We took a jeep tour past here which was fun but the rough rock strewn road would be treacherous for even 4 x 4 vehicles.…

Do this. Just don't do it in a regular car. Take a pink jeep tour, rent a jeep, or rent an Razor, which is what we did.

DO IT! We booked a tour with Safari Jeep Adventures and had Wyatt as our guide. The drive is fun, of course it us rough, but that's part of it! The views are so worth it. Wyatt was so knowledgeable and was an amazing photographer and our photos turned out spectacular. Learned alot about geology, history, and how to rough ride. Would do it again tomorrow!…
