My husband and I started on this hike and ran into some people who told us about the arch. About a half mile up, there was a rock arrow on the right on the ground that pointed to the path to hike to the arch. We hike up to the arch. It was steep and we were glad we did... More

About a couple mile walk on level ground, dead ending at steep piles of uneven rocks continuing upward. Tempting to climb but descent would be precarious and slow.

Excellent hike for kids and parents. Easy, mostly flat on a soft, sandy trail. Towering redrocks above, beautiful trees. Safe (no critters seen). Short (about 1.2 miles each way, and you can turn around anytime). Great to teach your kids about nature, and they can play with the pink sand and feel proud they made it to the end (turnaround... Fairly level trail, with fantastic outcrops of red rocks, each different than the former. Easy hike. Go slowly to enjoy and feel this special place!

Nice easy hike, fairly flat. Good hike for all ages. At the end of the maintained trail you are able to scramble up some rocks for a wonderful view of the canyon.

This is one of my favorite hikes. The views are amazing. It is a fairly easy hike. At the end of the trail there is a cluster of rocks. If you can climb up a few you have great views of the verde valley. I take all my visitors here.

This is a very flat but beautiful trail. The views are amazing the whole time. We were able to hike with 3 generations. At the end of the trail, there is an optional rock scramble. That was so much fun and the views from the top were far reaching. Would highly recommend this hike.

This was the only hike we did where the views were really not that great. This was only because when the Trail Ends there are a few spots where you can climb a more unorganized Trail to get to better use. We had smaller children and this just was not possible so from that standpoint we were unimpressed period but... More

This is a beautiful hike with little increase in elevation until you reach the end of the maintained trail. At that point there is a good opportunity to scramble up the rocks for some really great views. Highly recommend this hike.
