For a small fee (parking) you get lovely views, a trail hike and a sunset overlook. We visited during "monsoon season" and were also treated to amazing storm views in the distance. A gathering spot for views, a vortex and a walk. Definitely do recommend.

I don't know why anyone would want to hike up a mesa, when you can drive another 1,000 feet up the road, park at the airport ($3) and just watch the sunset from the overlook- beautiful views, certainly worth it.

When you are in Sedona, there are many hikes that you can take; don't miss this one. There is a Vortex at this location and it's a very easy hike for any age and ability. The Vortex energy can be felt in a location that...More

We climb to small hill and were paid off with spectacular views. 360 views of Sedona and its surrounding area. This is the area of the vortex and has unique sights of its own.

This is one of my favorite vortex spots. It is relatively straightforward to access from the base of the trail. There are twisted metal ropes to assist with the ascent which narrows at one point close to the top. Once you reach the top, it...More

I went with my daughter to watch the sunset. The view was spectacular and the place full of people watching the change from light to dark. Most of the people in silence. It was a special moment in a special point. The free entrance for...More

This hike was relatively easy with nice views. On our way down the trail our daughters stumbled upon a tarantula! It was amazing and scary at the same time!

Sadly. Buses, throngs of people and cars. My real sadness is that we went for peace, healing, views and serenity. What we had was a family at the top, yelling at their young children who were afraid of some large flying bug. It went on...More

This is a must stop for everyone. The parking lot is directly across the street. See the town of Sedona all at once. There is now a fee to enter.

The vortex parking lot is right by the vortex. You simply walk up a hill, about 100 ft high. Easy. The airport parking lot is about 1/4 mile up hill on the road from the vortex parking lot. There is a trail that leads down... More

There is one corner about 1/2 way up which would be a little tight if the traffic is heavy . It is next to the trail head., Which tends to get crowded.

Hello, Sedona has some awesome views. I suggest Red Rock Crossing which you can get to from Upper Red Rock Loop Road. This the the place where the typical photos are taken of Cathedral Rock, but it excellent for a family... More
