The official trail takes you up to a plateau. Follow the unmarked trails around the perimeter for some excellent 360 views. Total distance is a little over 2.5 miles and 2 hours.

This hike has some rocky areas. Wear good shoes and always pack water when hiking in Sedona. The view at the top is amazing.

The climb is moderate, not easy. May not be for those that don't like narrow switchback trails with some drop off points. Climb to the top is .7 miles/ 1 .1 km. View from the top is worth the climb. About a half hour climb...More

The half-mile to the top is a 400 foot elevation gain, but the switchback system makes it very doable. The mesa provides outstanding views throughout the 1.3 mile perimeter. While there are no marked trails on the mesa, it's very easy to meander along the...More

Nice easy/moderate out and back hike with 15 creek crossings before reaching the end. You can continue a little further if you are willing to wade in the creek. About 7 miles total if you go all the way to the end. Nice way to...More

This is a nice, shortish hike up to a plateau with amazing views of the Sedona area. The terrain is a mix of dirt path, switchbacks and some rocky climbing. People of all ages were completing the hike and it was mostly shaded in the...More

Pretty decent trail, somewhat steep elevation but not bad. Trail is somewhat hard to follow in some places if it’s your first time, but not bad. Views at the top at worth it! Can see almost all directions of Sedona from the top and get...More

We hiked Doe Mountain at around 9:30am on a weekday in October. There was plenty of parking available and the trail was not crowded or busy. It's a quick ascend up the side of the mountain with a few very manageable switchbacks, took us about...More

Doe Mountain is a favorite of mine. The trail goes up the side of Doe Mesa, give yourself a half hour or so to get to the top, more if you are not use to our 4500 elevation or not a hiker. Once one top...More

Took advice of some locals and started our climb about an hour and half before sunset time. Took us 45 min to hike up gradual switchbacks to top. Explored the upper part and found a nice spot to watch the sun beginning its descent around...More

Yes, there are trails everywhere, try to get a map of the area. The Sedona Chamber of Commerce is a great source or the US Forest Service!

Agree with Ron below about Bear Mountain. If you go to Boynton Canyon/Kachina Woman around 10 am you may catch Robert there playing the Native American flute from the top of the pillar. Magical! If the Earth could sing... More

The hill is a steep plateau but without drop offs that are worrysome.
