this is a less crowded trail, mostly switch backs to a great view. The book ranking is moderate but if you are fit it is very easy, some great photo opportunities. would go back

Took our kids (5 and 8) and both did great. This hike easily connects to other trails for those who wish for something longer or more difficult.

This is a great hike in Sedona's red rocks. It's short (just over a mile up and back). No special gear or equipment is necessary. It's got some good incline, but is very manageable. When you get to the top you can treat yourself to...More

Hike up and get a 360 view of sunrise. Hot air balloons can be seen going up shortly after sunrise. This one should not be missed.

The views are totally worth the short climb. The steep trail is narrow but nicely laid out with switchbacks. We did this to do some more climbing after hiking Devil's Bridge. It is short, about 1.4 miles round trip and only gains 400 ft, but...More

Great for a late afternoon hike (post 3:30pm) when there are fewer people and you can see the setting sun. Bring a picnic. A steady, switchback climb to the top and then you have a mesa to explore. There are some nice picnic spots on...More

This hike is a must-do for at least semi-adventurous people. You hike on a switch (back and forth) path up the side of a mesa and end up on top with a spectacular view!! A bit steep in parts (scared me watching 11 year old...More

Easy hike up, about a mile to top which is flat on top. Recommend continuing the trail and walking to the other side of the mountain which has even better views than the front. About an hour both ways.

Get there early to have a private hike- a .7 mile switchback with a few brief stretches of strenuous effort, The payoff is well worth it, as well as the views on the way up, and the descent, too! Made the hike twice on this...More

This is an easy hike with a big payoff. Once you get to the top, make sure you hike around to the back and sides.

Yes, there are trails everywhere, try to get a map of the area. The Sedona Chamber of Commerce is a great source or the US Forest Service!

Agree with Ron below about Bear Mountain. If you go to Boynton Canyon/Kachina Woman around 10 am you may catch Robert there playing the Native American flute from the top of the pillar. Magical! If the Earth could sing... More

The hill is a steep plateau but without drop offs that are worrysome.
