As tourists, we appreciated the close-up tour among the red rock peaks and the overview of the area. I can understand the complaints of the residents, though. Our young(er) pilot was smooth and did a great landing. He also narrated the names of the various rock formations very well.

This helicopter adventure, which originates at the Sedona airport in west Sedona, gives daily rides taking in the Sedona red rocks from the air. The staff is professional and polite, but the ride, advertised as 20 minutes, was only 12 minutes long. At least we had half-off coupons, so it was only $50/person, which seems about right for a 12-minute... More

We took the Papillon helicopter tour early one morning over the Grand Canyon. What an amazing experience! Although these flights are expensive, it is true--it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You cannot see the entire majesty of the Canyon any other way. Awesome!

Was very much looking forward to the giddy heights & adrenalin rush of the scenic helicopter tour around the sights of Sedona. Was booked & ready to go the following morning before departing Sedona after a really enjoyable stay. Even at just short of $200 each for my wife and myself, the operator cancelled our flight. He wanted to make... More

Tourist info said $45 per person, we got there and the lady said that's if you sit through a presentation for time shares, so we got a "deal" from $119 to $69. I felt that this was a bit of a ploy to get us there, but anyways, we went. My girls and wife enjoyed it, and that's what made... More

Fantastic experience flying through red rocks and seeing them from above. I have had a not so great experience with a helicopter ride in the past. Not so here. Very smooth, no jerking, would love to do it again.

This is a well overdue review! I was in Sedona three years ago when I took this tour. I was a bundle of nerves, being a complete scaredy-cat and petrified of heights. Truthfully, I thought I'd more than likely die in a helicopter crash that day. Once we got off the ground (white knuckles holding on for dear life) and... More

Expected to be terrified, don't like heights much. Instead it was like being in a car that left the ground & tilted. Not even one moment of being scared, surprised me! The views are incredible, the staff & pilot were great!
