Loved the climbing and challenge of reaching the saddle! Beware there is some vertical climbing. You should be pretty fit and WEARING PROPER HIKING SHOES. Not appropriate for “littles”.

This is one of the memorable red rocks of Sedona that happens to have a name. Be sure to take some pix of this one, as well as nearby Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock.

Beautiful place to watch the sunrise! A popular place for proposals, as well. Hike was not as difficult as we expected (both my husband and I are in our late 50's). This hike is very crowded. The parking lot fills up quickly and the road gets jammed up because of it, so get there early to prevent frustration. We hiked CR during Covid and were pleasantly surprised that many people pulled up their face masks in consideration of others in the crowded spots.
